Mycenae & Nafplio Tour

This private 6-hour tour pairs two of the Peloponnese’s most rewarding stops with a quick look at the Corinth Canal on the way south. You’ll pass through the massive Lion Gate — one of the most recognizable monuments of the ancient Greek world — and walk among the royal tombs and cyclopean walls that once guarded the seat of a Mycenaean king. From Mycenae, the route continues to Nafplio, a seaside town with a very different character. Where Mycenae is about deep antiquity, Nafplio is about a more recent — but still storied — chapter of the country’s past, and the contrast between the two stops is part of what makes the day work so well.

The Corinth Canal viewpoint at the start of the drive is a natural warm-up: a short stop to take in the narrow cut before continuing on toward Mycenae and Nafplio proper.
